Bruce James


Bruce James began his career with Gadsden County Schools in 2006 as an Inventory Control Specialist. Bruce also serves as captain of the newly implemented Food Service Management Team (FSMT), a team concept which operates in the capacity of a Food  Service Director.

Bruce is a former employee of the Florida Department of Revenue where he served twenty one years in the Compliance and Enforcement section. During his tenure with the DOR he received certification in all twelve taxes administered by the department as well as Legal research and the Certified Public Managers (CPM) certificate. Bruce is a recipient of the prestigious Governor's Sterling Award, an award given to individuals and teams for outstanding leadership, strategic planning and problem solving.

Bruce attended the public schools of Gadsden County and furthered his educational endeavor by attending Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida where he received a B.S. Degree in Political Science with a minor in Criminology.

Bruce enjoys hunting, fishing, riding four wheelers, swimming and playing bid-whist.
